Go Green

Today the buzz word is global warming and we all are concerned about it. All are showing there concern for it. But how many people restrain themselves from printing and wasting paper, cutting trees etc.
We should take up green measures to ensure that further damage to the environment can be stopped. Green industry is symbolic of that effort. Recycling of wastes is one of the key features of this industry. Achieving waste less work process which would cause minimal damage to environment is the primary objective of green industry. Carbon credit is an initiative to this end to give impetus to the industries to reduce their carbon and greenhouse gas emissions. Though not many industrial houses are carbon positive. Exploring alternative energy like sea, wind, water would be another important step to this end.

Gardening For Peace

Once God was asked “ why have you left so many people starving? If you cannot provide food for all, why have you given birth to so many people?” God replied, sighing, “I have arranged for food for all but if people fight and one snatches food assigned for another, how can I help it!”

When we all are talking about world peace, we must understand that starving stomach does not let the mind to listen to the soft and embellished talkes over peace, harmony and juxtaposition. To have a peaceful world, first we have to ensure food for all. There have bee a lot of programs taken up by several governments across the world to ensure food for all. However, as an individual we can also put some effort at to that end. We can contribute to this noble cause with minimal effort and a bit of consciousness.

There are hardly any people who don’t like gardening. Hence we can use gardening as a method to produce food and make sure that no one starves. PEACE GARDENING comes into the picture here. This is an organic method of gardening that complies to the nature farming and uses different organic methods to produce food. Use of organic manures, flame weeding, use of effective microorganisms, non-GMO organically grown seeds, minimum tillage system etc are the primary features of peace gardening.
Researches have shown that pecae gardening can produce crop without environmental damage and has a spiritual dimension that gives mental peace to the practitioners also.

Hence, gardening for peace will not only end hunger, but will feed the human spirit as well.
